WE FEED FOR LIFE

In West Michigan, hunger affects one in eight individuals, with the situation being even more dire for children, where the ratio rises to one in five, as reported by the Heart of West Michigan United Way. During the summer months, the demand for food pantries increases by 20% from June to August. Currently, over 261,000 residents in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula face food insecurity, indicating that many in our community struggle to maintain consistent access to sufficient food for a healthy and active lifestyle. Food insecurity can arise from various circumstances, impacting anyone at any time. Our mission is to provide stability and nourishment to those in need. This is why we  FEED FOR LIFE https://www.usda.gov/da/business/eeo

HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO

WHAT'S OUR PROCESS OF DELIVERING FOOD TO YOU?

Our process of bringing food from our hands to yours is simple.
We make a list of the food we’ll need to gather from local food banks.
This list is based upon the questionnaires filled out in our previous food giveaways and that also go along with our healthy choice food items on our free recipe menu we give.
Once we’ve placed our order we use our truck and group volunteers to pick up the food and deliver it to our location.
Next our volunteers open boxes sort through food to check any damages or defects before making available to the community.
After we’ve organized the food in stations we stack boxes and provide bags for the public to carry their food and other items provided.
We give menu of healthy recipes that can be prepared using the food provided to everyone.
And lastly we ask each person fills out the questionnaire to better help us serve our community.

Meet the Team.
